| Bop/TigerBeat: BIG Jonas Day TOMORROW! I’m so excited! Tomorrow morning I’m going to be on the phone with the Jonas Brothers! They’ll be spilling deets about their upcoming world tour which we know you are all dying to go to! I’ll be Twittering as I chat with the guys so you can get the news as they speak! Check out our Twitter page at www.Twitter.com/BopAndTigerBeat and you’ll be able to see all the updates as it is HAPPENING! I’ll be on with Nick, Kevin and Joe at 9am PST (thats California time) and will be twittering until the call is over! I’ll have a complete wrap up of the call on the Daily Dish soon after! Eeeeeek! OMJ this is gonna be GREAT! Mom’s confession: I Like The Jonas Brothers I was dragged to see the Jonas Brothers 3-D concert movie and it wasn’t so bad. I was hoping the Jonas Brothers’ concert movie would fall under my daughter’s radar, but I didn’t get that lucky. I should have known better. By my calculations, commercials for the 3-D Concert Experience play every 30 seconds on the Disney Channel. Years ago, I never imagined a six-year-old would find three boys named Joe, Nick and Kevin “cute,” nor did I think she would become a groupie at such a tender age. Silly me thought I had a few years before all that started But this is a different world, as I’m quickly finding out. Girls younger and younger are into things I would have deemed more appropriate for a pre-teen. My daughter is giving me an education into this new world, boot camp-style. Which is how I ended up meeting Big Rob the bodyguard while wearing black 3-D glasses in a movie theater last Sunday, watching Joe Jonas singing exclusively to me on the big screen (at least that’s how it appeared in 3-D), and seeing thousands of girls screaming, panting and fainting at each encounter with a member of the Jonas clan. I must confess, I had a really bad attitude leading up to the viewing of this movie, though I was looking forward to some mother/daughter time, a rare occurrence. Just as I resigned myself to sit through the film, my mood turned sour once again when the boy behind the ticket counter said I owed him $30 for two tickets. Seeing the look on my face, he apologized and said Disney set the price for this particular movie and the theater had to comply. I bit my tongue and forked over the money, thinking there was no going back now. Bad attitude aside, the movie was entertaining, though I hate to admit it. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at the Jonas Brothers’ 2008 sold-out Madison Square Garden concert. Other teen idols - Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift - also appear on stage. Don’t tell anyone, but I actually found myself singing to Lovato’s song at one point, much to my daughter’s shock. And, thankfully, the G rating was appropriate. There was no cursing, smoking, violence or “sexual situations” from which I had to shield my little one. I spent 76 minutes hearing (not so bad) teen music, watching adoring, love-struck girls and three really lucky brothers who struck gold big time. It was actually energizing to witness their excitement. At the end of the film, Kevin Jonas pointed to a supposed movie viewer with the “red sweater.” At that, my daughter said she wished she had worn red that day. I smiled to myself as I got a sneak preview into the future. It’s not the worst way to spend a Sunday afternoon. _________________ |

| The Jonas Brothers: New Album in June! The Jonas Brothers are just not stopping from taking over the world. The musical trio — Nick, Kevin and Joe — are set to release their fourth album, titled, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, on June 15th. Nick tells Billboard.com of the songs on the CD: “This album is taking steps. We’re trying to learn as much as we can, continuing to grow. [The album is] our journal in songs [about] all things we’ve gone through, personal experiences we get inspiration from. We’ve also been working on trying to use metaphors…to kind of mask a literal thing that happens to us.” The JoBros just recently added two more dates to their world tour: – July 11 Allstate Arena Chicago, Ill. – August 9 Staples Center Los Angeles, CA _________________ |

| Jonas Brothers’ Fourth Album Due June 15
The Jonas Brothers are nearing completion of their fourth album, due out June 15, which the trio says will take the band in some new sonic directions. “This album is taking steps,” Nick Jonas told Billboard.com during a teleconference with reporters on Wednesday. “We’re trying to learn as much as we can, continuing to grow.” Kevin Jonas added that “the overall message is its the same old Jonas Brothers, in a sense” but said the group would be “adding more and more music,” including horns and strings and “different musical instruments that are going to add and build to the sound we already have.” Nick said the songs on the new album — whose title the brothers are not yet revealing — are “our journal in songs,” mostly about “all things we’ve gone through, personal experiences we get inspiration from.” But citing the continuing influence of Elvis Costello, he added that “we’ve also been working on trying to use metaphors…to kind of mask a literal thing that happens to us.”
Other inspirations the trio cited for the new album include the Zutons and Kings of Leon, as well as Neil Diamond, who the Jonases saw perform when they took part in the MusicCares Person of the Year tribute during Grammy Awards week last month in Los Angeles. Nick said the group has already record nine songs with “a few more to go.” John Fields is again producing the album, which was recorded concurrently with the filming of the trio’s new “J.O.N.A.S.” action/adventure/comedy series, which is due to debut in May on the Disney Channel. Several songs from the album will be featured in the show as well. The Jonases are also gearing up for their first world tour, which begins June 20. The show will be performed in the round on a 144-foot-wide stage that incorporates a large circular water screen. “We’ve developed a new way to (use) this,” Kevin said of the screen. “It will ad a very interesting effect…It will feel like you’re in a whole other world when you come in the arena and see the stage.” “We wanted to find a way to provide a bigger and better show to our fans,” Joe Jonas said. “The entire bottom half of the arena and the upper desk is esentially a front-row ticket.” He added that the group hasn’t decided yet whether to film the show for a DVD or a feature-film follow-up to their current “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.” _________________ |

| Jonas Brothers Say Recording Leaves Little Trio hope fourth album, due June 15, shows musical maturity. By Jocelyn Vena In the middle of recording their fourth album, the Jonas Brothers revealed that they hope the new material will show fans and critics that they’re growing as musicians. “This album is taking steps,” Nick Jonas told reporters in a conference call. “We’re trying to learn as much as we can, continuing to grow.” The guys are once again working with their longtime producer, John Fields, and cite Elvis Costello, the Zutons, Kings of Leon and even Neil Diamond as influences for the record (due June 15). Kevin described the overall message as “the same old Jonas Brothers, in a sense,” but added that it would have “different musical instruments that are going to add and build to the sound we already have,” including horns and strings. “[The album is] our journal in songs,” Nick said, adding that the tracks are about “things we’ve gone through, personal experiences we get inspiration from. We’ve also been working on trying to use metaphors … to kind of mask a literal thing that happens to us.” The guys didn’t reveal the name of their upcoming album, but the new issue of Rolling Stone reports a tentative title of Lines, Vines and Trying Times. With nine songs finished, the guys said they have “a few more to go.” Eventually the brothers did get to the good stuff — their love lives — revealing that their busy schedule, which includes an upcoming summer tour, makes it hard for them to date. But, they said, they do manage to make time occasionally. “We’ve got a lot going on in our lives, and I think for us, we’re focused on that,” Nick said. “And we keep a little time for dating, but for the most part we’re focused on working on the TV show — we just finished that — and now with this new tour. We’re really trying to connect with our fans. They’re the most important thing in the world to us.” Source: MTV.com More Articles: “And then Nick Jonas said to me…” - Idaho Press “Interview: The Jonas Brothers Get the Last Laugh” - Dose.ca _________________ |

| Jonas Brothers Say Tour Will Be Different From 3-D Movie
It seems like the Jonas Brothers are everywhere these days, and with a summer tour set to kick off in June, they’ll soon be coming to a city near you. But with a 3-D movie out that captures the guys’ last tour on film, what incentive do fans have to come out and check the guys out this time around? “This is something brand-new,” Kevin Jonas promised Wednesday (March 1Cool. “We’ve never embarked on an in-the-round tour. The new songs on the new record are very exciting for us. For us, for all the opportunities we get, we’re astonished every day. To be able to visit so many people ourselves will be very great.” The guys will be touring with “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks and Honor Society, whom the Jonas Brothers said they were “excited” to hit the road with. The band also has plans to meet fans on the tour, saying that if you stop by the Honor Society meet-and-greet, there’s a good chance you could meet a JoBro as well. “For us, it’s always about finding alternative ways to meet our fans,” Nick Jonas said. “It’s about finding different ways to do it. It’s about getting creative.” One pair of fans who should have no trouble meeting the guys on tour are the band’s most famous followers, Sasha and Malia Obama. “I’m sure if they would like to come, there wouldn’t be any problem getting tickets,” Nick said. “And I’m sure they can get their own tickets magically.” Source: MTV.com _________________ |

| Jonas Brothers Talk World Tour, Fourth Album and TV Show With the Jonas Brothers on the verge of embarking on their first world tour, the trio recently held a conference call to discuss their new concert arrangement, their Monkees-inspired JONAS television show and their new June album. “The tour will be in-the-round,” Nick Jonas tells Rock Daily about the arena shows that will plant the band at center court. “We’ve always talked about wanting to do a tour like that, and this has been our first opportunity. It’s a way for us to really connect with our fans.” The tour will kick off this Sunday, March 22, with a show in the Bahamas, after which the JoBros will invade South America, before returning to North America and then heading to Europe. In our Spring Music Preview, Nick Jonas explained to Rolling Stone the origins of the title of their fourth album Lines, Vines and Trying Times, due out June 15th. “Lines are something that someone feeds you, vines are the things that get in the way, and trying times—well, that’s obvious,” Nick said. (Despite these “trying times,” top-tier JoBros ticket prices have leapt to $89.50 from $49.50 last year.) Nick hinted at his current influences, mentioning Elvis Costello six times, and Prince four, during the call. “This new album for us I wouldn’t say it’s a big jump but it definitely is a progression in our music and a growth for us. We’re very excited about this new album,” Joe Jonas said. “It feels like just a good growth in our music and it has a lot of more kind of horns in the record and a lot more strings. Also there’s more to the music rather than just a typical kind of relationship song.” For much more on the Jonas’ new album—and upcoming LPs from Dave Matthews Band, Eminem, the Flaming Lips and many more—check out our Spring Album Preview: _________________ |

| Jonas Brothers Promise Pop, Poetry and Horns on New Album Lines, Vines and Trying Times - 6/15 Talk about a Jonas bonus: This spring, in addition to debuting JONAS, a Monkees-style Disney series full of original tunes, the Jonas Brothers will also release their third full-length, tentatively titled Lines, Vines and Trying Times. “The title is a bit of poetry we came up with on the set for the TV show,” says 16-year-old guitarist Nick Jonas, the trio’s main songwriter. “Lines are something that someone feeds you, whether it’s good or bad. Vines are the things that get in the way of the path that you’re on, and trying times — well, obviously we’re younger guys, but we’re aware of what’s going on in the world and we’re trying to bring some light to it.” With help from producer John Fields, who worked on their previous two LPs, the Jonas Brothers decided to explore a few new sounds, like the horn section that fleshes out the Weezer-ish “Poison Ivy” — a tune about a toxic girl you can’t resist. “We were really inspired by the Zutons,” says 19-year-old singer Joe Jonas. “We heard their new record, You Can Do Anything, when we were in Europe last year and got everyone around us hooked on it.” The boys started adding horns to a couple tunes and then a couple more. “The horns just keep sounding good!” Joe says. “The players are these amazing Minneapolis cats who have been doing it for years and are just unreal.” (Expect the JBs to bring some brass on the road with them this spring, as well.) Meanwhile, playing at a charity tribute to Neil Diamond this February helped Nick find his new favorite legend. “You’ve heard those songs before a million times, but if you take a minute to pull them apart, you think, ‘Everything about these songs is so genius,’” says Nick. “It makes you think, ‘I could do that, too, if I just put my head to it like he d _________________ |

| Camilla Was the JoBros’ “Dream Choice!”
PopstarOnline is excited to have an exclusive chat with the director of the JoBros instant-classic music video for “Lovebug,” Philip Andelman! His answers provide some fun insight into the making of the video and into how the boys work as we all get revved up for their summer WORLD tour!
PopstarOnline: How did you get to be a music-video director? Philip: I went to film school, graduated, was unemployed, started fetching coffee on music video sets and after a month a director found out I’d worked for one of his favorite photographers and said, “Come shoot for me!” I’d never operated a 35mm film camera and told him this and he said, “Don’t worry, we’ll give you a crew that will take care of all that…just frame up some great shots!” Two weeks later, I was in Houston shooting cars for a hip-hop video. I wound up shooting second unit (everything not involving the band) for this director for two years and learning everything I now know. Eventually, I began booking my own little videos and slowly worked my way up to the JBs!
PopstarOnline: How did you get the chance to direct “Love Bug?” Philip: A month or so before, I did a video for Demi Lovato which the label [Hollywood Records] and management (same management) were very pleased [with] so they asked if I’d be interested in working with the Jonases and I jumped at the chance!
PopstarOnline: Did you come up with the yesteryear concept? Philip: No, they did. They wrote the initial treatment, which had some great elements—a very romantic tone, the rose petals—but some impractical ones as well. They wanted a bunch of couples “coming together” over the course of the video, which I felt would take away from the intimacy of the piece, so the end result was basically a combination of their idea and a few of my own…
PopstarOnline: What was it like working with the Jonas Brothers? What were each of them like personally? Philip: It was a blast. They are some of the most professional people I’ve ever had the chance to work with. They retain a wonderful, youthful playfulness and combine it with meticulous focus when necessary.
PopstarOnline: Do you think they’re good actors? Philip: I do.
PopstarOnline: When filming, did fans find out where you were, and what if any fan incidents were there? Philip: I was a bit sheltered from all the fanfare and remember on the first day stepping out of the ballroom for the first time after shooting for about six hours and seeing cops, security, paparazzi, etc., and being shocked. I literally had no idea any of that was happening. When we shot out in the middle of the ocean, there were literally boats of photographers following us. It was crazy!
PopstarOnline: Where did you film and how did you choose the locations? Philip: We shot at the Cicada Restaurant in downtown L.A., which we converted into the grandparents’ apartment and ballroom, and then down in San Pedro on the second day to find the house, boats, beaches, etc. The Cicada ballroom was my executive producer’s incredible idea, and the other locations were all found by our location scout/manager.
PopstarOnline: Did you cast Camilla Bella or how did that occur? Philip: I asked the band for a list of dream choices for the part and Camilla was at the top of the list and we were all really excited when she agreed a few days later!
PopstarOnline: When Camilla showed up on set, was that the first time they all met? What was that like? Philip: I’m not really sure because I was already busy shooting when they arrived…
PopstarOnline: Did you get to meet Selena Gomez? What was she like? Philip: I’ve never met her.
PopstarOnline: Was there anything you shot that was not used? Philip: TONS!!! We shot about three hours of footage for those three minutes!!! _________________ |

| Jonas Brothers Want To BUY Marion Davies Beverly Glen Area MANSION onas Brothers are hoping to purchase the Beverly Glen area home of late silver screen star Marion Davies, reports PR Inside. Pyschic Kenny Kingston insists that the estate comes with an eerie past, including high-profile affairs, illegitimate children, outrageous parties and a mysterious fire which almost wrecked the place 20 years ago: ‘I’ve visited that home and it’s frequented by spirits, good and bad. [Marion Davies lived there and Joseph Kennedy had an affair with both her and Gloria Swanson there.] The house has a history of bad health and, therefore, the Jonas boys will need to guard their health in this house. The place should be blessed before they move in.’ The brothers have reportedly already bought Armani Casa furniture for their new pad, which sits across the road from the family’s existing compound, even though the sale has yet to go through. The boys have reportedly hired top house designer Kenneth Bordewick to advise them on the decor. Sources claim Bordewick has already taken a walk around the grounds. From Deco Films: It’s either one of these houses. This first house is located at 1700 Lexington in Beverly Hills. It was the first home Marion occupied when she moved to LA. The second one is located at 1011 Beverly Drive and is shrouded in trees on a hilltop. The driveway is a sharp uphill slope with the pool going up the side of the hill in three layers. The Bodyguard was filmed here. _________________ |
